WKBW Radio’s “War of the World’s” The Legacy Continues
It was the radio broadcast that shook much of Western New York and radio listeners up and down the eastern seaboard. WKBW radio’s “War of the Worlds” went to air on Halloween night 1968 at 11 PM, creating a legacy that continues to grow more than fifty five years later. This documentary explores how Program Director Jeff Kaye created a radio masterpiece and includes interviews with some of the men who were a part of the most famous radio broadcast in Buffalo’s history. Produced by Bob Koshinski of All Services WNY, the documentary has been updated and was screened at the Aurora Theatre on October 30th, 2019 and also aired on WBBZ-TV on Halloween night 2019 at 8 PM.
